Three Spout Wall Fountain with Long Stone Trough

Three forged iron spouts set in a row across a back panel almost seven feet wide, each one curling out of its own carved rosette. This is a village washing fountain, the kind a whole street queued at, and the length of the trough tells you how many households it served. The crest is drawn up into a soft ogee with hollowed shoulders, and the stone has weathered to a pale silvered grey that looks almost bleached in raking light. Ancient Surfaces reclaimed and rebuilt this antique limestone wall fountain for a long garden wall, a courtyard elevation, or a poolside terrace with the width to carry it.
