At Ancient Surfaces we are committed to preserving the elegance and history of architectural antiquity. We reclaim and restore antique limestone wall fountains, turning basins that watered villages centuries ago into the quiet centre of gardens being built today. A fountain is where a courtyard gathers, and we think it deserves stone with something behind it.
Our artisans specialise in reclaimed limestone wall fountains of every character. French coursed fountains crowned with carved acanthus, Italian pediments turning out into volute scrolls, finely cut lavabos, and plain village troughs where the stone does all the talking. Each fountain is cleaned, stabilised and conserved with respect for the patina it arrived with. We are careful never to restore that away.

We do not over restore, we do not reproduce, and Ancient Surfaces has never sold a cast or copied fountain. Every limestone wall fountain here is genuine, singular and chosen by hand. The collection grows slowly on purpose.
