Scrolled Pediment Wall Fountain with Octagonal Basin

The silhouette does the work on this one. A shaped gable rises to a carved shell and acanthus crest, then turns out at both shoulders into volute scrolls the size of a millstone, and the coursed panel below carries a small mask spout almost lost in the field of stone. The canted octagonal basin repeats the geometry at ground level. Every block has weathered to its own tone, cream through to pewter. Ancient Surfaces reclaimed and rebuilt this antique limestone wall fountain for a villa courtyard, an entry motor court, or a formal garden with a wall long enough to carry it.
