Dolphin Wall Fountain with Scrolled Wings

A dolphin coiled in high relief, tail up and head down, spouting straight into the basin the way garden dolphins have done since the Renaissance. Shaped wing returns step down at each side with an incised scroll cut into each one, and the whole thing sits over a deep square basin built from coursed blocks that still carry traces of old ochre and blue pigment. The carving is confident rather than refined, which is exactly why it works outdoors.
