Arched Cornice Wall Fountain with Deep Stone Trough

A segmental cornice curves across the top of this fountain the way it would over an arched opening, and the panel below is framed by quoined jambs that give it real depth against a wall. The shaped centre tablet carries a forged iron scroll spout, and everything falls into a deep trough cut from one block, its outer face still showing the vertical drag of the original chisel. Warm bone stone above, cooler grey below where the water has always sat.
